Last updated on MARCH 21, 2018

Applies to:

Hyperion Planning - Version 11.1.1.0.00 to 11.1.1.3.00 [Release 11.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

A Planning application cannot be deployed from Enterprise Performance Management Architect (EPMA). The issue is application-specific. The application validates in EPMA with no errors.

The following message is seen in the EPMA Job Console when the deployment fails:  "An Exception occurred during Application deployment.: Failed to load Dimensions"

The error in the Planning log is:
processing dimension Account with name Account
[Mar 4, 2010 11:02:20 AM]: Dimension Type received from AWB :Account
Failed to load Dimensions
java.lang.IllegalStateException: Unknown storage type

Note that although the error message mentions the "Account" dimension in this example, the issue is not specific to any one dimension. Sometimes other dimensions are referenced in the error message.
