Hyperion BI+ - Version: 18.104.22.168.00 and later [Release: 9.3 and later ]
Sun SPARC Sun OS
Three errors were encountered when trying to run service patch 3 against Hyperion System 9.3.1 on Oracle Solaris:
(1) "Unable to locate tools.jar"
(2) "DB TYPE HAS NOT BEEN DETERMINED!"
(3) "There is not enough free space for patching process"
Look for these messages in /SP_Installer/log/err_22.214.171.124.0.401.log and out_126.96.36.199.0.401.log.
A long file system name for the directory which is used for BI+ installation causes this problem (the dk -k command produces three lines which are not parsed correctly).
Be sure that all Hyperion servers have been stopped before running the service patch.
