Hyperion Support does not have access to SAP R/3 and BW resources, and has very limited SAP experience, analysts need to be resourceful, utilizing a combination of basic troubleshooting skills, fact finding, document research, clients SAP admin (the BASIS person, and support from Vignette when appropriate. Below is a typical work flow for troubleshooting SAP adapter issues.


The SAP R/3 Technology Adapter Library lets you retrieve data from SAP or execute functions within SAP through one of its defined interfaces. There are adapters for each of the interfaces, which let you access SAP tables, remote function calls (RFCs), transactions, business objects, and intermediate documents.

The SAP R/3 Technology Adapter Library includes the SAP Business Object, SAP Connection, SAP Database Join, SAP Database Table, SAP Intermediate Document, SAP Logical Database, SAP Remote Function Call, and SAP Transaction Adapters as well as the SAP Batch Input Wizard and the SAP Data Migration Flat File Wizard.
