Purpose
The ImportSecurity command line utility is used to load access permissions for users and groups from a flat file into a Hyperion Planning application.
Importing access permissions in this way overwrites existing access permissions only for for those members, data forms, data form folders, task lists, Calculation Manager business rules, and Calculation Manager business rule folders specified in the flat file. All other existing access permissions remain intact unless the SL_CLEARALL flag is used.
The counterpart of ImportSecurity is the ExportSecurity command line utility, which is used to extract security from a Planning application to a flat file, in a format that can later be used with ImportSecurity.
This document is intended to help troubleshoot errors commonly encountered when running the ImportSecurity utility.
