OBIEE 10g: Error: "Reporting Login Failed : Please contact administrator for your username / password" Logging into BI Publisher from Answers (Doc ID 1121774.1)

Symptoms

When you click on the menu item in Answers, More Products  >  BI Publisher, you get the following error:

Reporting Login Failed : Please contact administrator for your username / password

You have set up OBIEE using Cryptotools in the following way:

1. Created the following groups within BI Administrator.
XMLP_ADMIN, XMLP_DEVELOPER, XMLP_SCHEDULER, XMLP_ANALYZER_EXCEL, XMLP_ANALYZER_ONLINE, XMLP_TEMPLATE_DESIGNER

2. You added the BI Admin user 'Administrator' to the XMLP_ADMIN group.

3.You  ran cryptotools:

/oracle/OBIEE/OracleBI/BIUAT/web/bin64/cryptotools64 credstore -add -infile /oradata/OBIEE_data/BIUAT/web/config/credentialstore.xml -alias bipublisheradmin -username Administrator -password SADMIN -passphrase password -writePassphrase Y –encr


4. You re-started the BI Presentation Server.
