Activate/Deactivate SmartView Upgrade Messages from Web Server (Doc ID 1184274.1)

Information in this document applies to any platform.


When the server version of SmartView does not match the version on the client it is possible to warn end users or even force them to download and install the new version from the server.  This is achieved by activating one or both of the following settings on the web server:
  1. 'Always warn when client version is newer'
  2. 'Always force client to upgrade (even when client and server are compatible)'
These settings can be activated or deactivated as desired.
