Troubleshooting Problems Encountered When Initializing a Source System in ERPi (ODI 10g)

This document is intended to explain what symptoms would be shown to an end user if misconfiguration of the ODI Details has occurred when registering a source system when the ODI Agent is definitely running.
Please note: This document is for versions of ERPI that use ODI 10g - if you are using ERPI 220.127.116.11.501 or above (i.e. a version of ERPI that uses ODI 11g) then please see the equivalent note for that version of ERPI which is Note 1458416.1.
If a Source System in ERPi fails to initialize then the root cause could be due to:
1.Incorrect configuration of the ODI Details when registering the source system 2.The ODI Agent not being available.
You can use the note below to double check that the ODI Agent is definitely up and running and make sure that it gets started if is not currently running.
If the ODI Agent has been tested from the ODI Topology Manager and can be contacted, there is most likely a misconfiguration somewhere in the ODI Details.
