How To Filter Out an External "admin" User so that it Cannot be Provisioned in Shared Services (Doc ID 1268341.1)

Last updated on JULY 28, 2016

Applies to:

Hyperion Planning - Version: 11.1.1.0.00 to 11.1.2.0.00 - Release: 11.1 to 11.1
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

If an external user directory (e.g. Microsoft Active Directory) contains a user called "admin", problems may arise due to Shared Services confusing this user with the Native "admin" user.

Unless the external "admin" user needs access to the Hyperion EPM products (which is not recommended) then it is best to filter out this user, so that Shared Services cannot see it, and it cannot be accidentally provisioned.
