Smart View 11.1.2 Error "Unknown Error 0x800A139A" on First Connection (Doc ID 1273763.1)

Symptoms

During creation of a new Adhoc Query, in Select Members module, after clicking the ellipsis (...) in the Year POV drop-down the following error message appears:

Oracle Hyperion SmartView for Office, Fusion Edition
Unknown error 0x800A139A

On subsequent refreshes, you may see:

Invalid Session. One possibility is that the connection has timed out. Login again.
