Login To Workspace Fails/Hangs Without An Error Message (Doc ID 1291993.1)

Symptoms

The symptoms are related to workspace login if following two conditions exist.

1. Workspace agent service and workspace web application service are installed on separate
     hosts.
2. A firewall with very restrictive rules sits between these two hosts.

  After invoking the workspace home page when user credentials are supplied in login   
  dialog  box ,the hour glass gets displayed on the screen for as long as the browser session 
  is not manually killed from task manger on client machine.

Changes

This can occur if the firewall rules are changed from relaxed (with a big range of open TCP ports for incoming and out going traffic) to very restrictive (allowing only  very few ports for in bound and out bound traffic)
