Symptoms

In release 11.1.1.3, an Essbase application name that starts with a # (e.g., #Sample) cannot be provisioned in Shared Services.

If you create an Essbase application name that starts with the # character, there is no problem.
However, if you create an application using the copy application feature and then rename the application to start with the # character, this problem may occur.
