Attribute Added To Essbase Dimension Returns "#Missing" When Retrieved Using Essbase Analytics Link for Financial Management Application

(Doc ID 1308499.1)

Applies to:

Oracle Essbase Analytics Link for Hyperion Financial Management - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Financial Management (HFM) application has initially been created inside HFM and it has been re-created in Essbase using Essabase Analytics Link (EAL) Bridge.

A new attribute dimension in the Essbase database has been created, then a new member added and the attribute dimension has been associated with a standard dimension e.g. Entity. Next the attribute member has been applied to a base level member with data. Retrieving the data against the member with the attribute associate works, but after adding the attribute member in the retrieve, the value will change to #missing.

The attribute functionality works in standard Essbase cube, but does not work in an live EAL Essbase database.
