This document describes how to update or change the Discoverer repository schema connections that you may be using for public / private connections and/or portlets.
When you install Discoverer you may have run the Repository Creation Utility (RCU) and created <prefix>_DISCOVERER and <prefix>_DISCOVERER_PS.
After the installation has been completed, you may need to change the repository connection details for the following scenarios:
- You may have installed a Discoverer "standalone" installation and now need to associate the installation with a repository where you have run RCU.
- The schema password(s) have been changed
- The schemas were re-created with a new prefix.
- @The schema(s) were moved to a new repository database or the repository database changed. For example: export/import or from localhost:1521:orcl to xxx.yyy.com:1522:sid
!!! Note: Moving the repository is not supported due to dependencies. You must create a new repository and migrate connections or portlets in a supported manner !!!!
