SmartView Data Source Manager Not Showing the Connection Nodes

Symptoms

By default, Smart View's Data Source Manager shows three connection nodes when using the Common Provider Connection.

"Oracle BI Server"
"Oracle Essbase"
"Oracle Hyperion Planning"



Those three nodes are displayed regardless of whether the corresponding products are installed.

Customer's have reported incidents where either one or all nodes went missing. Thus rendering it impossible to connect to the server.



If the "Oracle Hyperion Planning" node is missing, the Independent Provider Connection to Planning will not work either due to the applications not being listed as illustrated in screen shot below.
