Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In Enterprise Performance Management Architect (EPMA), when defining member formulas in a Essbase BSO application containing member names surrounded by double quotation marks, the deployment of the application results in an invalid formula in the Essbase outline.

The start quote of member formula containing a single member name surrounded by double quotation marks, results in missing start and ending double quotes deployed to the essbase outline.

Example A:

In EPMA, the formula for member A is defined as:

"90450" * -1;

After deployment, the formula for member A results in missing start and end double quotation marks required by the member formula:

90450 * -1;

Example B:

In EPMA, the formula for member B is defined as:

"26050" + "21050" + "29050" + "23750" + "24550" + "28550";

After deployment, the formula for member B results in missing start double quotation mark of first member in the formula and missing end double quotation mark from last member in the formula:

26050" + "21050" + "29050" + "23750" + "24550" + "28550;
