After setting up Active Directory server as the primary Authenticator provider for OBIEE, authentication on Presentation services works fine but login takes a relatively long time (1 minute) to get response back from the login window.
The same behavior occurs when trying to open an online RPD with Admin tool.

You have followed steps in <Note 1273961.1> - OBIEE 11g: How to setup ADSI LDAP security provider

You have found that if you change the Group Search Scope from subtree to OneLevel, then the login time is extremely fast BUT you are no longer able to retrieve user AD groups. In your case you need the subtree option because of the structure of your AD catalog due to having several divisions, countries and groups that are not stored within the same folder.

Set up Active Directory server as the primary Authenticator provider for OBIEE 11g.
