Symptoms
Customization of Discoverer Viewer 11g in Oracle Enterprise Manager Console fails with error.
Steps that lead to the error are:
-Login to 11.1.1.4.0 version of Discoverer through Enterprise Manager 11g Fusion Middleware Control
-Select 'Discoverer Viewer' under WLS_Disco
-Click on 'Customize' button and then 'Preview' button with the selections applied
- Report does not get displayed and the following error is encountered:
com.oracle:ApplicationVersion=11.1.1.2.0,name=ViewerPreviewConfig,Xml=ViewerPreviewConfig,
Application=discoverer,type=Xml.ViewerPreviewConfig
-On clicking 'OK' the following message is displayed:
Exception caught: oracle.sysman.emSDk.app.exception.EMSystemException
