How To Generate OPMN Debug Logs For Discoverer 11g Troubleshooting (Doc ID 1397781.1)

Purpose

This document will provide steps to generate clean OPMN (Oracle Process Manager and Notification) and HTTP Server diagnostic logs to assist with troubleshooting Discoverer issues.

The logs are generated in $ORACLE_INSTANCE/diagnostics/logs/OPMN/opmn and include:

By reviewing these log files, the customer and/or Oracle Support can determine details about the Discoverer ServiceStatus, PreferenceServer and SessionServer processes.

For example, below debug.log extract shows a successful session initialization:
