EPMA Data Synchronizer Does Not Report Error When External File Contains Invalid Members (Doc ID 1432194.1)

Last updated on MARCH 08, 2017

Applies to:

Hyperion Planning - Version: and later   [Release: 11.1 and later ]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

The EPMA Data Synchronizer does not always report an error when dimension member names in an external data file are incorrect. With invalid data in the source file, both Validate Syncronization and Execute Syncronization return a message indicating that the action has been Successful.

When an error is detected the following details are recorded in the transaction log:

4/27/11 9:33 AM][Recoverable error]Unable to determine data transformer for
dimension: Account member: CapExLandXX
The cause for the failure was: com.hyperion.planning.HspRuntimeException:
Invalid member name: CapExLandXX for dimension: Account

In this example invalid Account members are reported but invalid members for any other dimension are not reported.
