Unable to Connect to Planning via Smart View's Shared Connection when Using Oracle Single Sign On (OSSO)

Those instructions are only applicable for Oracle Hyperion EPM or higher.
Due to the significant changes made between version 11.1.2 and, this solution will not work for 11.1.2 or earlier. If you encounter the same issue with 11.1.2 or earlier, you would need to review KM doc id 1308926.1.


Smart View is not able to connect to Hyperion Planning through Shared Connection when using Oracle Single Sign On (OSSO)

If the "/workspace/SmartViewProviders" location match doesn't exist or is incorrect, this error is encountered.

Smart View
Connection to Shared Services provider failed
Error message: 'Cannot connect to the provider. Make sure it is running in the specified host/port. Error(500).'

-> Modify
  current URL

-> Retry


After correcting the "/workspace/SmartViewProviders" location match, you may encounter the below problem if the "/HyperionPlanning/SmartView" location match doesn't exist or is incorrect.

After clicking "Yes"

Connect to Data Source
Invalid user credentials.
Enter correct username and password to sign on.


The issue is encountered after configuring OSSO, which works fine outside of Smart View.
