Error During ODI Process Submission "ODI Connection Information May Not be Correct or ODI Agent May Not be Running. Please check and Resubmit the Job" (Doc ID 1458416.1)

Symptoms

The following error is seen in the ERPI GUI when carrying out an action in ERPI that invokes ODI scenarios such as:

1. Data loads.
2. Metadata loads.
3. Source system registration / deletion / initialization.
4. Target system deletion.

When running the ODI Agent in console mode (i.e. simply starting the ODI Agent from the batch file / shell script in the Oracle_ODI_1\oracledi\agent\bin folder) errors similar to the following may be seen in the console (where x is the name of your ODI agent). These errors may also be seen in the ODI Agent log (default location: Oracle_ODI_1/oracledi/log):

1. If 'ODI User Name' is wrong then the following error is seen:

   ERROR ODI-1132 Agent agentname encountered a warning: ODI-1418: Error connecting to agent x: an authentication error occurs while connecting to the primary repository.

2. If 'ODI Password' is wrong then the following error is seen:

   ERROR ODI-1132 Agent agentname encountered a warning: ODI-1418: Error connecting to agent x: an authentication error occurs while connecting to the primary repository.

3. If 'ODI Execution Repository' is wrong then the following error:

   ERROR ODI-1131 Agent odi11gagent encountered an error: ODI-1274: Agent Exception Caused by: ODI-1423: Warning connecting to Agent x: work repository WORK_REP_NAME is not bound to the primary repository.
