OBIEE 11g Unable To Start Presentation Server After Security Changes Error 'Failed To Start A Managed Process After The Maximum Retry Limit' (Doc ID 1461862.1)

When trying to connect in Enterprise Manager & BI Analytics, the following error is encountered:

"Error 401--Unauthorized

From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:

10.4.2 401 Unauthorized"


Looking at the results of manually starting the OPMN processes and see the following:

> /ora_home/opmn/opmnctl startall

ias-component                    process type             pid            status

==============                   ============             =====          =======
coreapplication_obips1           OracleBIPresentat~       N/A            Down

When trying to manually start the OracleBIPresentation service, the following is displayed:

> ./opmnctl startproc ias-component=coreapplication_obips1

--> Process (index=1, uid=xyz, pid=123)
    failed to start a managed process after the maximum retry limit
