Purpose

This article provides a set of supplementary materials for Disclosure Management users, including best practices guidelines, a full Disclosure Management sample report, a webinar series, and other guiding materials. 

The “TD Webinar” series is focused on Taxonomy Designer, specifically regarding the SEC extension taxonomy use case. The webinars are sequentially organized, starting with an introduction to XBRL Reporting and Disclosure Management as it applies to the SEC Interactive Data Mandate. Following webinars provide a more in-depth look at XBRL terminology and the Taxonomy Designer tool, starting with the simpler SEC 1st year taxonomy use case and increasing in complexity with 2nd year taxonomies and more advanced topics. Viewers are encouraged to attend webinars in order, as each webinar builds upon lessons learned from previous topics.

  • DM 11.1.2.2.300 Implementation Best Practices.pdf – A powerpoint document illustrating best practice guidelines for Disclosure Management implementations. 
  • DM 11.1.2.2.300 10Q Sample Report.zip – A zip file containing a sample Disclosure Management 10Q report, set up according to Disclosure Management best practices, including a fully mapped set of Primary Document and doclets and a sample taxonomy.  The report is ready for EDGAR HTML, XBRL and iXBRL generation.  Please read the included “Readme.pdf” for setup instructions and a full sample walkthrough.
