Unable to Connect or Add an Essbase Server in Essbase Administration Services (EAS) Console: "Error: 105: Login with token to MaxlJni" or "Error: 0 in Essbase Administration Services: The database is not accepting a connection" (Doc ID 1469492.1)

Symptoms

After applying an EAS Patch Set Update (PSU), users are unable to expand a defined Essbase server or add a new Essbase Server in the EAS Console.  The message panel displays the error(s):

"Error: 105: Login with token to MaxlJni"

 Error: 0: The database is not accepting a connection

Essbase Server: {servername} com.essbase.eas.essbase.defs.ServerCommands.
Error: 0: Your session is not connected to the Essbase agent/server.

There may also be an error in the eassserver.log:
