HFM Error "Invalid Item ID" Appears in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) Logs During Consolidations (Doc ID 1477383.1)

Symptoms

After numerous consolidations, performance starts to degrade and subsequent consolidations take much longer to run. Sometimes consolidations that ordinarily take minutes to complete are taking hours. During the time of the consolidations, numerous "Invalid Item ID" entries are being written back to the Hyperion Financial Management logs.

Below is an example of the entry that gets generated in the log during the time of the consolidations:

Changes

 Application was upgraded from 9.3.x to 11.1.2.1.x.
