OBIEE 11g - Cannot connect to Essbase through OBIEE Admin Tool

OBIEE 22.214.171.124 is installed in 64-bit Windows platform. When trying to connect to Essbase 11.1.2 Database (located in a 64bit Windows Platform) using the Admin tool from the OBIEE Server, user is able to successfully import the Essbase cubes.
Whereas, when trying to connect to Essbase Database using OBIEE standalone Admin tool from 32-bit Windows XP machine (OBIEE 126.96.36.199 client tool installation and Essbase client software 32bit install of Essbase 188.8.131.52 is installed in the same machine), user is unable to import.The import fails with following error message:
The Connection has failed. Essbase Error 8286
The Connection has failed. Essbase Error 2037
The PATH environment variable and the ESSBASEPATH environment variable are set appropriately.
Also added the PATH variable and the ESSBASEPATH variable to the bi_init.bat file present in the below path:
Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition Plus Client\oraclebi\orahome\bifoundation\server\bin\ bi_init.bat file
