DAC 11g: DAC Fails To Connect To Informatica

Information in this document applies to any platform.
Installed DAC (Dac Build AN 10.1.3.4.1.patch.20120711.0516, Build date: July 11 2012) and Informatica (9.0.1 HF2).
Both Informatica and DAC processes are running on the same server.
It is possible to start a workflow from the Informatica Workflow Manager, and connect to the DAC Server from the DAC Client.
In the DAC Client, under Setup, Informatica Servers, I have the following two definitions:
Name: "Integration_Service", Type: "Informatica", Service: "Oracle_BI_DW_Server" (this is the name of the Integration Service in Informatica), Server Port: "4006" (this field is disabled and cannot be changed), Domain: "Domain_xxxx" (this is the name of the Informatica domain), Login/Password: the login information into Informatica, Maximum Sessions: "4", Repository Name: "Oracle_BI_DW_Base" (the name of the Informatica Repository Service)
Name:" Repository_Service", Type: "Repository", Hostname: "machine01" (the name of the Linux box the Informatica services are running on), Server port: "6001", Domain: empty and field is disabled so cannot be changed.
Login/Password: login information into Informatica, Maximum Sessions: "4", Repository Name: "Oracle_BI_DW_Base" (the name of the Informatica Repository Service)
From the file Integration_Service.txt, this shows the error message (when testing a connection):
Both DAC and Informatica are on the same server.
I have pmcmd and pmrep in the orahome/10gR3_1/bifoundation/dac/bin directory
These are Informatica's ports:
Node port number: : 6005
Service Manager port:6006
Informatica Administrator port:6008
Service Manager shutdown port:6013
Informatica Administrator Shutdown port:6014
Minimum port number: 6018
maximum port number: 6118
