OBIEE 11g: User Session Expiry (Timeout) Set in Enterprise Manager Console Does Not Take Effect

You have set your Session Expiry time in Enterprise Manager to 810 minutes yet your sessions are timing out within a few hours and requiring you to log back in. When you see the log in screen, the prior session state is lost and many times OBIEE hangs causing you to log out and back in once again.
Note: Expiry time is also known as: session timeout, session idle time, session expiration, session time out, session time-out, Session Log-Off Period
