Remote Diagnostic Agent (RDA) is a useful instrumentation utility developed by Oracle and scripted to collect troubleshooting information on more than 160 Oracle applications. RDA is bundled with Enterprise Performance Management 11.1.2.0 and later. As the tool typically is updated every quarter, it is often out of date and will need to be replaced with the latest version. The Essbase Administration Services (EAS) module was first introduced in RDA 4.30 (December 2012). A more recent version of RDA is 8.00.

Purpose

Encourage users to collect a wide selection of Oracle Hyperion Essbase Administration Services targeted and useful information using RDA by collecting service logs, servlet logs, configuration files, Hyperion Registry data, Microsoft Windows Event logs, and Microsoft Windows Registry focused on Essbase Administration Services.
