Symptoms
It is not possible to establish connection between Hyperion Strategic Finance (HSF) and Smartview.
- Using “Shared Connections”, the HSF Server does not appear when trying to connect using Oracle Hyperion Strategic Planning, but works fine with HFM, Planning, and Essbase.
- When trying to connect using a private connection, one is prompted to log in, but HSF cannot authenticate. Private connection URL being used: http://<hsfServer>:8900/StrategicPlanning/SmartView
When trying to register the HSFGateway.dll, the following error is received:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
R6034 An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library in correctly.
