How to Resolve a Corrupted EAL DSS Database

The DSS Db became corrupted as the result of a system crash or possibly a canceled extract. You are possibly missing data when running a query.

Goal

The Data Synchronization Service (DSS) database has been corrupted due to a system crash or by canceling an extract.  When you start the DSS  you see messages in the dss.log that indicate corruption:

[01 Feb 2013 10:11:00] [dbmgr]                      cube->state == HR_CUBE_BEFORE_CHECK & validation(level1) of cube failed, attempting to perform cube.dir repair procedure.
[01 Feb 2013 10:11:00] [dbmgr]                      Starting integrity checking of the DATA part of cube 26369.
[01 Feb 2013 10:11:00] [dbmgr] ERROR:          HR#05589: Entry 5 of RollFS is corrupted (cube:26369 worker:0 offset:164320 store:1).
[01 Feb 2013 10:11:00] [dbmgr] WARN :          HR#05587: Failed to repair cube 26369.
[01 Feb 2013 10:11:00] [dbmgr]                      Starting directory validation for cube 26369. Validation level:1
[01 Feb 2013 10:11:00] [dbmgr] ERROR:          HR#00449: Cube 26369 Entry:6 Directory out of range. Offset 164320 in store 1 exceeds file size.
