Error During LCM Import of Files with Accented Characters "EPMLCM-37038: Cannot perform migration. Unable to find artifact resource <resource id> in the source application." (Doc ID 1538734.1)

Symptoms

Life Cycle Manager (LCM) is being used to migrate reports (Financial Reporting, Interactive Reporting and Web Analysis reports) between two different Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) 11.1.2.1 environments.

NOTE: In this scenario the source EPM is on an AIX machine while the target EPM is on a Linux machine.

The reports named with accented characters like à and è are not being imported into the target environment.

The error messages are:

EPMLCM-37038: Cannot perform migration. Unable to find artifact resource <resource id> in the source application.

The errors appear in the SharedServices_LCM.log as well.

When looking at the file names in the exported folder where LCM has performed the export on the source machine, it is noticed that the accented characters had been replaced by question mark characters.
