Analytic Provider Services (APS) Goes Down a Few Times A Day Due to an "outOfMemory" Error (Doc ID 1558564.1)

Symptoms

The APS server is crashing throughout the day.  The APS startup log (start-AnalyticProviderServices0-out.log) shows the following error:

java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: getNewTla
at weblogic.servlet.internal.session.SessionContext.getIdsInternal(SessionContext.java:497)
at weblogic.servlet.internal.session.SessionContext$SessionInvalidator.cleanupExpiredSessions(SessionContext.java:932)
at weblogic.servlet.internal.session.SessionContext$SessionInvalidator$1.run(SessionContext.java:902)
at weblogic.security.acl.internal.AuthenticatedSubject.doAs(AuthenticatedSubject.java:321)
at weblogic.security.service.SecurityManager.runAs(SecurityManager.java:120)
