You have configured SSL for the BI Components as described in the Oracle® Fusion Middleware Security Guide for Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition 11g Release 1 (11.1.1) Part Number E10543-07 -> 5.3 Configuring SSL Communication Between Components:
You run the SSL report to check SSL configuration for BI Components. Log in to Enterprise Manager -> Business Intelligence -> coreapplication -> Security tab -> Secure Sockets Layer sub tab -> View SSL report to verify internal SSL communications status link. The SSL report shows that all components can be reached using SSL except Essbase Server. The SSL status of Essbase Agent/Essbaseserver1 on port 9799 shows as down with the message:
SSL ping failed. Failed to connect due to: java.net.SocketException.
