Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), and later, includes object naming restrictions that prevent naming objects with leading or trailing spaces.  In earlier OBIEE releases (i.e. 10g or earlier 11g versions), there was no such naming restriction.

Consequently, if your RPD or catalog was upgraded from an earlier release and includes objects with leading or trailing spaces, you may find that the objects get removed during repository consistency checks and that the reports then fail with missing object errors.

Are there any tools, or utilities, that can be used to pro-actively check reports in the OBIEE web catalog with the objective of preventing errors during runtime?
