Enabling SSO For Kerberos Using Customer HTTP Header Causes EPM Services To Fail (Doc ID 1572808.1)

Symptoms

After enabling SSO the Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) services fail to start.

The following error specific to this configuration is seen in HyS9EPMServer-sysout.log:

weblogic.application.ModuleException: [HTTP:101216]Servlet: "prefs" failed to preload on startup in Web application: "workspace".
EPMCSS-00085: Failed to initialize Security agent. Invalid Security header name null . Verify Security agent configuration.

As the EPM fails to start, not able to modify SSO settings in the Shared Services console UI.

 

Changes

Enabled SSO for Kerberos as follows:

Shared Services Console > Administration > Configure User Directories > Security Options tab > Show Advanced Options.

Then selected:

- Enable SSO check box.
- Under SSO Provider or Agent  selected 'Other'.
- Under SSO Mechanism  selected 'Custom HTTP Header' and value left blank.
