OBIEE 11g: Changes to Users' Application Roles do not Take Effect and New Users Added in Active Directory are not Visible in WebLogic Server Console until after the Services are Restarted (Doc ID 1573003.1)

Symptoms

You have upgraded OBIEE 10g to 11g. but you have to restart services every time ouy perform a security task like the below listed:

  1. When you create or modify a user's app role, you can only see the changes after re-starting the services in Enterprise Manager.
  2. If you add a new user in the Active Directory, you do not see the new user listed in the WebLogic Server Console security realms, unless you re-start services in Enterprise Manager.
