OBIEE 11g: Error "Eventually succeeded, but encountered and resolved errors... Number of skipped recipients: 0 of 4 " when Sending an Agent as an Alert to a Dashboard. (Doc ID 1576971.1)

Symptoms

You are using OBIEE 11g.  You have agents that should appear as alerts on your dashboard.  But they are coming as e-mails and not to the dashboard.  If you run the agent manually, you see the following error:

 

Eventually succeeded, but encountered and resolved errors... 
    Number of skipped recipients: 0 of 4 

    AgentID: /users/zu/name0@oracle.com/Agents/I BOT TEST 101-7 
Device (dashboard) is not set in (name1@oracle.com) delivery profile. 
    AgentID: /users/zu/name0@oracle.com/Agents/I BOT TEST 101-7 
Device (dashboard) is not set in (name2@oracle.com) delivery 
profile. 
    AgentID: /users/zu/name0@oracle.com/Agents/I BOT TEST 101-7 
Device (dashboard) is not set in (name3@oracle.com) delivery 
profile. 
    AgentID: /users/zu/name0@oracle.com/Agents/I BOT TEST 101-7 
Device (dashboard) is not set in (name4@oracle.com) delivery profile.

 

If you run an agent to deliver a report to  the Home Page and Dashboard, you will see an error like this:

    AgentID: /shared/darivala/agent 01 
    No devices for user: Administrator 
    AgentID: /shared/darivala/agent 01 
    No Content for user : Administrator  "
