Unable To Refresh The Essbase Database From Planning After Changing The Admin Password (Doc ID 1589755.1)

Symptoms

Attempting to refresh the Planning database fails with the following error:

Unable to connect to Hyperion Essbase. Verify that Hyperion Essbase is running and check your network connections.

The admin user password has recently been changed in Workspace, via the Tools > Change Password menu, however the Planning data sources were also updated to reflect the new password for the Essbase admin user.
