Oracle Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) version 220.127.116.11.0
You have come across a scenario where the report is not displaying all the records after applying SORT,
You have by default 30 records to be displayed in the report for a particular dashboard.
When you use the button show all records, it displays with all the records for the particular report.
Now, apply the sorting on any of the column in that particular report.
You would expect it will show all the records after applying the sort order, but the report displays only default 30 records.
To get all the records I need to click again on the show all the records button.
This behavior is not observed in OBIEE 10g .
1. Create a report in 11G against any repository, such as 'Sample Sales Lite'
The report consists of a table view.
Note that the table view was edited > Table properties > Style:
Data Viewing = Content paging
Paging Controls = Bottom
Rows per Page = 25
2. Embed the report in a dashboard
3. You will see 25 records
4. Click on display maximum rows per page
5. Now change the sort on one of the columns by changing the arrow sign next to the column name
6. You will be back to the first 25 records.
In 10G, to display the sort arrow icons, you need to edit the table view and
select "Enable column sorting in dashboards” .
When you change the sort, you keep the same number of records, you do not go
back to showing 25 records.
