OBIEE 11.1.1.7.1:Saved Filter Name That Contains Apostrophe (') Changes To ''' (Doc ID 1603074.1)

Symptoms

A report having saved filter with Apostrophe (') in its name is replaced to ''' while using it in report/dashboard
For example, the filter name 'Biztech's Business' is displayed as 'Biztec's Business'.

This can be reproduced with samplesales lite rpd following the below steps:

  1. Login to analytics and create a criteria with Product: Brand, Product: LOB, Facts: Revenue
  2. Go to New ->Filter Add a filter Brand is in Biztech
  3. Save this Filter in a shared folder as 'Biztech's Business'
  4. Go to Results
  5. Go to New view->Filters
  6. Add the saved filter 'Biztech's Business'.
  7. This is now displayed as 'Biztec's Business' as shown below:
