Trying To Connect From BI To An Essbase Database And Getting An Essbase Network Error (Doc ID 1609469.1)

Goal

In the BI Repository Customer trying to setup a connection pool to connect to our essbase database and when trying to connect get the following error:
State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 43113] Message returned from OBIS. [nQSError: 96002] Essbase Error: Network error [110]: Failed to connect to [plvhype02:1423] (HY000)


Customer was able to telnet from the prod bi server to the prod essbase box on port 1423 and even was able to run startMaxl.sh on the bi box and connect to the essbase database that way.
