OBIEE 11g. Pivot Table Columns are Grouped and cannot be Removed after Upgrading from OBIEE 10g

Symptoms
After upgrading from OBIEE 10g, to 11g, in your pivot views, you see a Column Group column in the Criteria tab. For example:
Column Group (Default: Quarter Name)
Column Group (Default: Sales VP)
Because of this new column, the results are displayed in a different way. When you come return to the criteria tab and try to remove the new column, there are no delete/column properties options available.
