HPCM: Search Task Gives Error 500.. (Doc ID 1615786.1)

Symptoms

When customer uses the search taskflow they get the following error, which is the same error as in an old bug for CES:

The following error is also displayed on the HPCM GUI:
 Error 500..Internal Error
