Validate Hyperion Planning Application Error: "The given key was not present in the dictionary"

When attempting to Validate a Planning application in EPMA, the validation aborts with the following error:

"The given key was not present in the dictionary"

The following errors are seen in the log files:

 A number of changes were made to one of the dimensions, including moving members to different parents, renaming members and setting aliases.
