Symptoms

A new development environment has been created for OBIEE version 11.1.1.7.131017.

User is attempting to migrate the rpd, webcat and system-jazn-data.xml from their production environment which is at version 11.1.1.6.11.

When user tries to regenerate the GUIDs, the following happens:

• The presentation service does not start (or generate new GUIDs);
• BI server service shuts down; and 
• They get the following error:

and the presentation service does not start (or generate new GUIDs) plus the BI server service shuts down too.
