Extract Metadata from Essbase: Members not Read in Order of the Outline (Doc ID 1631435.1)

Last updated on JULY 29, 2016

Applies to:

Hyperion Essbase - Version 9.3.1.0.00 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When using the Essbase LKM to extract metadata from Essbase, the members are not extracted in the same order as they appear in the outline and children appear before parents. Even the SORTID column is of no use for this purpose.
How can you extract metadata and preserve the order and parent-child relationships?
