Data Relationship Management (DRM) Batch Client Raises Stop Working Error when Executed Concurrently
Last updated on JULY 28, 2016
Applies to:Hyperion Data Relationship Management - Version 22.214.171.124.000 and later
Microsoft Windows x64 (64-bit)
When more than one instance of the DRM Batch Client command utility (drm-batch-client.exe) is executed concurrently, the second process stops with an error:
Batch Client has stopped working.
It also displays the exception:
Unhandled Exception: System.IO.IOException: The process cannot access the file because it is in use by another process '<log file name with full path>'
at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath)...
This issue will be reproduced even if:
- the argument "/log" is not provided and the log file name will be generated according to "DRM_Batch_Client_<mmddyyyy>.log" format by default.
- the log file is defined in the configuration file.
