OBIEE 11g: After Configuring SSL, Users Logins Fail With "An invalid User Name or Password was entered" (Doc ID 1662765.1)

Symptoms

The environment is configured with SSL to integrate SSO with Oracle E-Bunsiess Suite 12.1.3.
After SSL configuration, when logging in OBIEE analytics, the following error occurs: "An invalid User Name or Password was entered."
