OBIEE Admin Tool Fails To Launch (Doc ID 1663835.1)

- Upgraded users workstations OS to Windows 8.1 from Windows 7. Installed OBIEE Admin Tool using Windows 7 compatability mode, but the Admin Tool fails to launch. It never opens.


- Installed OBIEE 11g client tools on Windows 8 using the Windows 7 compatibility mode.  Product installs, but takes 20 minutes to start up.

How can this be resolved?
